DISTRICT HEATING SUPPLY IN SPANDAU OVER THE WINTER MONTHS SAFEGUARDED
Vattenfall uses two hot water boilers in the Reuter West power plant in Berlin to safeguard the district heating supply in the Spandau area. The DK1164 and TICK rental boiler systems ensure around 30 MW heating output between them. Admixing pumps on each individual boiler ensure that the return temperature increases, as this is relatively low for network reasons. This prevents the flue gases condensing in the boiler and reduces thermal strains in the boilers, as they can therefore be operated with such a low spread (temperature difference between the supply and return). Both boiler systems are approved for mobile use.
Despite the fact that abnormal loads were required, both systems were set up and commissioned in a short time. Both systems can be used for both hot water and steam operation. Rental boiler TICK (and its identical twin TRICK) with its 11 MW or 16.3 t/h can also supply hot steam up to approx. 300 °C at approx. 18 bar.

Hagelschuer lieferte bereits die zweite Anlage an den Biokraftstoffhersteller Verbio in Bitterfeld aus. Die Dampfkesselanlage besteht aus drei Containerelementen. Die komplette Wasseraufbereitung inklusive Umkehrosmose- und Enthärtungsanlage ist in einem Seecontainer untergebracht.
